Syracuse, N.Y. — Two Syracuse football players took home weekly ACC honors for their performances in the Orange's 31-17 upset of No. 17 Virginia Tech on Saturday.
Sophomore quarterback Eric Dungey was named offensive back of the week after becoming the first player in SU history to throw for 300 yards and rush for 100 in a game. Dungey finished with a career-high 417 yards, throwing one touchdown and running for another — the go-ahead score with 7:56 remaining.
Junior Zaire Franklin earned linebacker of the week, logging 10 tackles, including one for loss, against the Hokies.
