Chestnut Hill, Mass. -- If Eric Dungey was truthful in saying that he never thought he might miss Syracuse football's game at Boston College on Saturday, he might be the only one.
Head coach Dino Babers was uncertain about Dungey's status until the senior quarterback made an explosive play in practice on Thursday. Redshirt sophomore Rex Culpepper, Dungey's roommate, said Dungey spent last Saturday night in a hospital and watched his teammate work through back spasms when he returned to campus on Sunday.
"Honestly, he healed like Wolverine," Culpepper said. "He was having back spasms and then two days later, he was good-to-go, practicing.
