Syracuse football OT Liam O'Sullivan medically disqualified due to concussions

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football offensive tackle Liam O'Sullivan has been medically disqualified due to concussions, SU Athletics told Syracuse.com on Sunday.

O'Sullivan, who would have been entering his third year, redshirted in 2016 before playing in six games, primarily on special teams, last fall. He was listed as the second-string left tackle before missing the last six games of the year due to injury.

O'Sullivan becomes the sixth known SU football player in the last five years to be DQ'd due to concussions, following defensive end Tyler Marona (2013), offensive lineman Kyle Knapp (2014), defensive end Isaiah Johnson (2015), quarterback AJ Long (2015) and offensive lineman Sam Clausman (2017).
