Syracuse football opens as slight favorite against No. 22 North Carolina State

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football opened as a 1.5-point favorite to beat No. 22 North Carolina State on Saturday in the Carrier Dome, according to VegasInsider.com.

Coming off a 40-37 double-overtime win over North Carolina, the Orange (5-2, 2-2) has a chance to become bowl eligible for the first time since 2013 when the two teams kick off at 7 p.m. SU head coach Dino Babers declined to name a starting quarterback after the UNC game, during which Syracuse redshirt freshman Tommy DeVito replaced senior Eric Dungey late in the fourth quarter and threw three touchdowns.
