Syracuse Football: OL Seamus Shanley Leaves Orange Program

You haven't heard much about the Syracuse Orange football team given how basketball-centric news has been lately. Unfortunately, our first glimpse of football in a week yields a departure from the program.

Orange head coach Dino Babers confirmed to Syracuse.com today that walk-on offensive lineman Seamus Shanley is leaving the program.

Shanley, a redshirt senior and son of campus DPS officer Joe Shanley, started three games for the Orange last season while the offensive line was ravaged with injuries. He'd sat out the spring to this point with an undisclosed injury himself.
