Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football offensive lineman Jamar McGloster has accepted an invitation to play in the 2018 East-West Shrine Game, the longest-running college football all-star game for NFL draft-eligible seniors.
McGloster, one of the last scholarship players brought into the program in Scott Shafer's 2013 recruiting class, was viewed as a raw, basketball-playing athlete with long-term potential.
He left Syracuse as a two-year starter at right tackle and logged more than 1,000 snaps this past season. He recorded 12 knockdown blocks on the year and was one of the most durable linemen for a unit hit hard with injuries over the last couple seasons.
