Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football is tracking toward its biggest crowd of the season when it hosts No. 22 North Carolina State in Saturday night's nationally televised contest.
Will attendance exceed 40,000?
That's the hope with a few days remaining before the nation turns its eyes toward the Orange, which can sew up bowl eligibility with a victory against the Wolfpack. The game will kick at 7 p.m. and be nationally televised on ESPN2.
"We need the community to come out," said Anthony Di Fino, a Christian Brothers Academy graduate who is now associate athletics director for business development for the Syracuse athletic department, "and we need them to realize how big of a game this is.
