Syracuse, N.Y. -- The postseason accolades continue to flood in for Syracuse football kicker Andre Szmyt.
After being named first-team All-ACC last week, the redshirt freshman was selected as a first-team All-American by Sports Illustrated and The Athletic. Szmyt was issued honorable mention by Pro Football Focus.
The Vernon Hills, Ill., native has made 28-of-32 field goals this season, including all three of his 50-plus yard tries. He's connected on all 57 of his extra points.
Szmyt is a finalist for the Lou Groza Award, given out annually to the nation's most outstanding kicker.
