One of the most polarizing players of the 2019 Syracuse football class has found the perfect NFL home with the Kansas City Chiefs in Jamal Custis.
Custis has always looked the part to play the lead role in a dynamic offense at 6-foot-4, 214 pounds, but he hasn’t always lived up to it. Injuries? Playing different positions? Lack of opportunities? Whatever the case may be, it all finally came together in Jamal’s fifth and final season on the hill.
- 51 receptions for 906 yards and six touchdowns
Leading up to the 2019 NFL Draft, teams I spoke with were in love with what Jamal “could be” as opposed to what he accomplished in college.
