Syracuse, N.Y. — After playing four years for Delaware State, defensive end Gabe Sherrod is looking at transfer options and Syracuse is in good position.
Sherrod, who finished second in tackles for loss among Football Championship Subdivision players last season, will visit SU the weekend of Feb. 26 and is interested in pursuing a Master's degree in mechanical engineering.
He's been in touch primarily with defensive line coach Vinson Reynolds, and has also spoken with defensive coordinator Brian Ward.
"Syracuse has been on top of things the entire time," Sherrod said.
