Syracuse football inside receiver Erv Philips named to Biletnikoff Award Watch List

University of Connecticut football coach Randy Edsall was found to have violated Connecticut's nepotism clause for state employees when he hired and negotiated a contract for his son, according to a report by the The Hartford Courant's Josh Kovner.

Kovner wrote that Connecticut's state board of ethics found Edsall to have been in violation of state law, but will recommend that nothing be done regarding the hiring of tight ends coach Corey Edsall, provided his contract isn't renewed after this season.

The Courant reported that the board of ethics' opinion will be presented to the state's citizen ethics advisory board for a vote this week.
