Syracuse, N.Y. -- Eric Dungey's injury situation prompts a question this week that the Syracuse football community hasn't had to ponder much in 2018: who is SU's third option at quarterback?
Dungey, a four-year starter, left the Orange's 36-3 loss to No. 3 Notre Dame on Saturday in the first quarter with an upper-body injury. Dungey reached for his lower-right back before dropping to the ground between plays. SU head coach Dino Babers said on Monday only that Dungey, who was reportedly laboring to get into a cart leaving Yankee Stadium, was moving well enough Sunday to get in and out of the hot tub.
