Syracuse football hires 5 new staff members

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Five new staff members have been hired to join the Syracuse football program, the university announced Friday.

The new hires include two assistant strength and conditioning coaches, two quality control coaches (offense and recruiting) and a graduate assistant on offense.

They are:

Tim McAuliffe - graduate assistant offense

McAuliffe fills the void left by Macky MacPherson, who was hired to be the running backs coach at Kent State.

Like MacPherson, McAuliffe was an all-conference center during his playing days. He played under Dino Babers for two seasons at Bowling Green, where he was a four-year starter and helped the program win multiple Mid-American Conference championships.
