Syracuse, N.Y. — One of Syracuse football's greatest running backs is about to become a doctor at age 73.
Floyd Little will receive an honorary doctorate degree at Syracuse University's May 15 graduation ceremony at the Carrier Dome, the university announced Wednesday.
Little, who returned to SU in 2011 to work in the athletic department as a special assistant to the athletic director, will be awarded a degree of Doctor of Humane Letters.
The College and Pro Football Hall of Famer discussed the honor in a recent interview with the Denver Broncos.
