The Orange add some experience at defensive end with Gabe Sherrod's commitment.
Defensive end has been Syracuse's glaring weakness throughout this offseason. Starting with only four on the roster entering spring practice after Qaadir Shepard and Amir Ealey were both dismissed and Ron Thompson declared for the draft, the announcement of Kenny Carter's dismissal from the team brought that number down to three.
Fortunately, Syracuse fans can now rest assured with Deleware State graduate transfer DE Gabe Sherrod announcing his commitment to Syracuse.
With this commitment, not only is the hole left by Carter's dismissal now filled, but the Orange add playing experience to the position, something that neither Carter nor any other DE on the roster possess.
