Saturday's game was long, painful to watch and ended with a disappointing 30-23 loss by Syracuse football to Middle Tennessee.

There were turnovers by Syracuse and Middle Tennessee. There were timeouts for injuries and replay reviews. The game lasted about 4 hours and the looks on everybody's faces showed it.

A sloppy game to be sure, but there's always next week against Central Michigan — and nine more games after that.
