Erv Phillips is expected to miss three to four weeks after undergoing surgery on his meniscus.
Syracuse Orange hybrid Ervin Phillips got off to an auspicious start in Syracuse's home opener against Rhode Island by scoring two touchdowns in the first half. After sustaining a "lower body injury," Phillips would sit the second half. It would later be determined that the sophomore would have to have surgery on his meniscus. Phillips has since had his surgery and is expected to miss three to four weeks.
Phillips was supplanted by redshirt junior Ben Lewis against Wake Forest on Saturday.
