Syracuse Football: Eric Dungey cleared for takeoff vs UConn

When the second half started for the Syracuse football team and Eric Dungey was nowhere to be found, it sure felt like perhaps his final chapter had been written.

Tommy DeVito took over the reigns and helped deliver the Orange’s first win over Florida State since 1966. Dungey had been taken out of the game by the Syracuse coaching staff due to ‘vision blurriness’.

There’s been a lot of speculation about what exactly caused this ‘vision blurriness’. Many viewers up in the press box assumed that his issues resulted from a cheap shot he took late in the second quarter to the head area.
