The Syracuse Orange football program has had far more coaching turnover than any in recent memory, a testament to the rare consistency of staffs brought in by previous head coaches, and the general willingness from many admins to give staffs time before expecting results. However, after a disappointing 5-7 season, Dino Babers has been hard at work turning things over.
Unfortunately, this has meant some coaches leaving of their own accord, and Steve Stanard is now the next coach out, as Pete Thamel is reporting the longtime Babers assistant is headed to the Kansas State Wildcats.
