Former Syracuse football player Naesean Howard has been arrested for stabbing two 21-year-old men, police said.
Howard was charged with two counts of assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. It is unknown what led to the stabbing, but the Syracuse Police Department said Howard is believed to know the victims. The stabbing occurred Saturday at about 6:03 p.m. at 321 Slocum Ave.
At the beginning of his freshman year in 2014, Howard was suspended during fall camp for missing curfew. He missed the team’s annual trip to Fort Drum but was reinstated.
