Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football senior defensive back Tyrone Perkins remains in North Carolina under observation until the school is able to transport him back to Syracuse.
Coach Dino Babers updated Perkins' status Monday morning during his weekly press conference, two days after Perkins left Saturday's 41-24 victory at Wake Forest with a lower-leg injury.
Perkins spent the night in a Winston-Salem-area hospital and did not travel back with the team on Saturday afternoon.
"Everything has gone really well." Babers said Monday. "They got him. He's under control. He's in good shape, and he's going to get better.
