Syracuse, N.Y. -- Former Syracuse football defensive tackle Steven Clark has received written permission from SU to contact other schools regarding a potential transfer, his father, Steve Clark, said on Thursday.
Steven Clark was medically disqualified by SU head team physician Dr. James Tucker on June 6 due to the genetic disorder Factor V Leiden, which makes him more susceptible to blood clotting.
The younger Clark is interested in exploring potential transfer options, but it's also possible that he decides to stay at SU, where his scholarship would be honored. He's already sent out an initial batch of inquiries, his father said.
