Syracuse Football: Chance Amie Commits to Houston. What Now?

As many Syracuse football fans sat on the edge of their seats, they wound up disappointed in the end. On Monday night, 2018 QB recruit Chance Amie chose to stay close to home, committing to in-state Houston over the Orange.

The 6-foot-3, 191 pound quarterback from Robert E. Lee HS (TX), who holds a three-star rating from Scout.com, also held notable offers from Rutgers, North Carolina, Iowa State, and Virginia.

With Amie committing elsewhere, the Orange remain at eleven commits in the 2018 class, with none of them being quarterbacks. Should there be no changes to the existing roster, the 2018 roster will see Rex Culpepper, Mo Hasan, Clayton Welch, and Tommy DeVito on the depth chart behind current starter Eric Dungey.
