Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse University confirmed fifth-year senior center Jason Emerich won't return this season following shoulder surgery last month.
Emerich suffered a shoulder injury in a 62-28 loss Sept. 9 against Louisville and has not played since. He had surgery Oct. 11.
A multi-year starter, the New Ringgold, Pa., native will end his college career with 28 games played, including 14 starts over three seasons.
A a two-time ACC Honor Roll selection, he was named to the All-ACC Academic Football Team in 2015.
He also has served as the president of the Syracuse chapter for Uplifting Athletes.
