Syracuse, N.Y. — Corey Winfield doesn't expect to ever forget the play.
Taking one of his first snaps as a college cornerback, then a redshirt freshman, Winfield lined up opposite Notre Dame wideout Will Fuller in the second quarter of Syracuse's game at MetLife Stadium on Sept. 27, 2014.
Fuller and UND quarterback Everett Golson locked eyes, recognizing the matchup before the snap, then burned Winfield on a deep post for a 72-yard scoring strike.
"I'm going to always remember that," Winfield said on Tuesday, "I'm going to always remember him, and I'm looking forward to playing against him soon.
