The margin for error is so slim in college football. Knowing that factoid, it’s strange that the Syracuse football team decided to let off the gas against a very capable opponent in Western Michigan.
The Orange had increased the lead to four scores (34-7 for those counting at home) in the first half, Dino Babers obviously thought enough of his team that it was time to see what some others on the roster had. Specifically Tommy DeVito stepping in for Eric Dungey.
Now quick timeout, I’m all for DeVito getting his feet wet and seeing how different high school football is to college football.
