Syracuse has received another commitment from a Canadian, this time an offensive lineman. The Orange already have a commitment from 2019 Canadian linebacker Geoff Cantin.
On Monday night, Mike McAllister of CuseNation.com, reported the 2019 OL, Matthew Bergeron committed to Syracuse. Bergeron camped at Syracuse earlier in the summer, and like many of the other Canadian recruits, is a relative unknown. Bergeron is actually a teammate of Geoff Cantin in Quebec.
According to Matthew Vachon, of La Nouvelle union, Bergeron also was contacted and offered by Buffalo and Rutgers.
Although Bergeron is relatively unknown, and not rated by any major recruiting sites, he certainly looks the part of a power five conference lineman.
