Syracuse, N.Y. -- A former staff member under Lane Kiffin at Florida Atlantic is the new director of recruiting for Syracuse football.
Landan Salem brings more than five years of experience to the Orange support staff, previously working at Pitt, Michigan State, Illinois, North Carolina State and spending time as an intern with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts and AFL's Orlando Predators.
An official announcement on Salem's hiring could come by the end of the week. He has already updated his Twitter profile to reflect the job change.
The son of Pitt tight ends coach Tim Salem, Landan replaces Asil Mulbah, who last month left for a job in the Buffalo Bills scouting department.
