Syracuse, N.Y.—
In front of a sold out crowd of 35,642, the Syracuse Orange (18-9, 9-5 ACC) battled hard against #1 Duke Blue Devils (24-3, 12-2 ACC) but fell 75-65. Duke used a strong second half surge, outscoring Syracuse 46-31 in the second half to fend off the Orange in the Dome.
Despite strong offensive efforts from Tyus Battle, Elijah Hughes, Frank Howard and Marek Dolezaj who all scored in double figures, the Orange were not able to overcome 50 combined points from R.J. Barret and Alex O'Connell for Duke
