SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange men's basketball team earned the No. 8 seed in the West Region when the bracket for the 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship was unveiled on Sunday night.
Syracuse (20-13) received one of the 36 at-large berths into the 68-team field and will face No. 9 seed Baylor in the first round on Thursday, March 21 at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City.
The Orange are making their 40th NCAA Tournament appearance overall and 34th under Hall of Fame coach Jim Boeheim.
