SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A season-high 12 three-pointers, including six from Elijah Hughes, led Syracuse (10-4, 1-0 ACC) to a 72-62 victory over Notre Dame (10-5, 0-2 ACC) to open ACC play Saturday afternoon.
Hughes extends his double-digit scoring streak to seven games as one of three Orange players who reached double-digits against the Fighting Irish. Oshae Brissett contributed 19 followed by 17 points from Battle. Brissett and Hughes both recorded double-doubles with 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Orange stormed out in the second half with a 9-0 run while holding Notre Dame scoreless for the first four minutes of the half on a 0-of-6 shooting performance.
