Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim called sitting out the first three games of his nine-game suspension "a very painful experience," during his weekly radio appearance on ESPN Radio Syracuse.
During an appearance on On the Block with Syracuse.com/ESPN Radio's Brent Axe, Boeheim called coaching SU "his life," and indicated he watches the games in private.
"I'm not a fan, I'm a coach," Boeheim said, when asked whether he'd consider watching the games in public. "I wouldn't want to sit and watch with anyone else. It's a very painful experience, and I don't feel like sharing my painful experiences with anybody.
