Atlanta -- Syracuse walk-on Braedon Bayer didn't play in the Orange's loss to Georgia Tech on Wednesday.
That will change this weekend when Syracuse plays No. 2 Virginia on Saturday and then travels to Louisville on Monday.
Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim said he would turn to Bayer, who was recently awarded a scholarship, in the upcoming games as the Orange deals with a thin roster made even thinner by freshman guard Howard Washington's season-ending leg injury.
"We'll do that,'' Boeheim said of playing Bayer, a 6-foot-4 redshirt junior from Lagrangeville, N.Y. "We'll have to do that.
