Syracuse, N.Y. -- Jim Boeheim pointed out just how inexperienced his roster was several times last season.
Usually after losses, Boeheim would note that Syracuse's starting lineup included four players who were in their first year with the Orange. That conveniently glossed over the fact that two of Syracuse's starters were fifth-year seniors. Andrew White, a transfer from Nebraska; and John Gillon, a transfer from Colorado State, were in their first year at Syracuse, but had four years' of experience at the college level prior to getting to Syracuse.
Boeheim's argument also ignored the fact that two of Syracuse's reserves were also seniors.
