The Syracuse Orange will meet ACC rival Virginia in the NCAA Tournament’s Midwest Region finals at 6:09 p.m. Sunday (TBS) here at the United Center. The winner will advance to the Final Four in Houston. Virginia (29-7) is the region’s No. 1 seed and got here with wins over Hampton, Butler and Iowa State. Syracuse (22-13) beat Dayton, Middle Tennessee and Gonzaga to advance to the Elite Eight. Since joining the ACC three years ago, Syracuse has beaten every team in the conference except Virginia. Syracuse is 0-3 against the Cavaliers in that time. Virginia is trying to get to the Final Four for the first time since 1984, while Syracuse is hoping to make its sixth trip to the Final Four and its first since 2013.
