Syracuse, N.Y. — Two teams in desperate need of a win will face each other when Syracuse hosts Pittsburgh at the Carrier Dome on Tuesday night.
Syracuse (12-6 overall, 1-4 ACC) has lost its last four games. Syracuse has never lost five straight games in Jim Boeheim's 42 years as head coach.
The last time Syracuse had a losing streak of more than four games was the 1968-69 season. That year, Syracuse lost its first five games. Later in the season, Syracuse suffered through a six-game losing streak.
Pittsburgh has struggled all season. The Panthers are 8-10 overall and 0-5 in the ACC.
