The Syracuse basketball team lost its opening-round NCAA Tournament game to Baylor on Thursday evening. Then, fewer than 24 hours later, the ‘Cuse got word of another bummer, as star junior wing Tyus Battle reportedly has elected to enter the NBA Draft, according to Syracuse.com and other media outlets.
No one, I repeat no one, in the SU community should feel stunned by Battle’s decision. As we all know, this fine young man considered going pro a year ago, only to return to the Hill for one more shot at a collegiate championship.
