Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse basketball recruiting target Joe Girard III led Glens Falls High School to a football comeback on Friday.
Girard, the starting quarterback for Glens Falls, rushed for two fourth-quarter touchdowns to lead the Indians to a come-from-behind 36-28 victory at Cobleskill-Richmondville. There is a full game report at the Glens Falls Post Star's website.
Girard is a highly-regarded basketball recruit in the 2019 class. The 6-2 shooting guard has narrowed his list of schools down to Syracuse, Boston College, Penn State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Duke.
Glens Falls had a 25-1 record with Girard at quarterback over the past three seasons, but the Indians trailed 28-24 entering the fourth quarter.
