Syracuse, N.Y. -- Joe Girard III, a highly touted basketball recruit from Glens Falls (N.Y.) High School, threw for five touchdowns on Saturday, but it wasn't enough to avoid a loss to Queensbury.
Queensbury defeated Glens Falls 48-34 on Saturday afternoon. Queensbury, which is a Class A school, remained undefeated at 4-0. Glens Falls, the state's No. 2 ranked team in Class B, fell to 3-1.
Girard, a three-year starter at quarterback for Glens Falls, completed 22 of his 40 pass attempts for a whopping 413 yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome a first-half deficit of 28-0.
