We're seven games into the Syracuse basketball season and we've got enough data to start making some observations about the Orange.
Here are three things to note after SU's 6-1 start:
- With Geno Thorpe gone and a quality opponent on the floor, Jim Boeheim used only five lineup combinations against No. 2 Kansas on Saturday. Of the five lineups, the only unit with a positive plus-minus in the 76-60 loss was the grouping of Bourama Sidibe, Oshae Brissett, Marek Dolezaj, Tyus Battle and Frank Howard. They were +1 in 12 minutes, 56 seconds.
- The idea of a three-guard lineup featuring Battle down low with Thorpe and Howard up top was intriguing at the beginning of the season.
