Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse is not unique among college basketball programs. The Orange covets players that can score.
Syracuse improved its perimeter production last season with the addition of Tyler Lydon and Malachi Richardson, two Orange shooters who could sink the 3-ball. Now in pursuit of other teenagers who can continue to display that kind of shooting proficiency, SU has offered a 6-foot-6 Class of 2017 shooting guard a basketball scholarship.
Orange coaches offered Brandon Randolph, a Westtown (Pa.) School prospect, after watching him play last weekend in the Brooklyn EYBL start of the AAU season. His PSA Cardinals coach, Terrance "Munch" Williams, provided a succinct reason for all the interest in Randolph.
