Syracuse is taking a look at 7-foot Turkish star Omer Yurtseven, and had him visit the campus earlier this week.
The 17-year-old forward turned down a lucrative contract from Fenerbahçe, according to Scout.com, in order to achieve his goal of playing college basketball. The recruit also told the website that he’s talking with 15 schools, including Atlantic Coast Conference rivals Miami, North Carolina and N.C. State.
DraftExpress.com projects Yurtseven as the No. 14 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
Yurtseven competed in the FIBA U18 European Championships last summer and averaged 9.8 points and 8.7 rebounds in his nine games.
