Battle committed to Syracuse on Monday, approximately one month after de-committing from his original pledge to Michigan.
The 6-foot-6 combo guard from Edison, N.J., is considered one of the elite prospects in the Class of 2016. He is ranked No. 20 in his class nationally by Scout.com, No. 21 by Rivals and No. 27 on ESPN.com.
Battle missed most of his junior year at Gill St. Bernard's High School with an ankle injury, but as a sophomore he averaged 22.
