Syracuse, N.Y. - Brycen Goodine and his BABC team will not advance to Peach Jam, Nike's crowning event on its EYBL summer circuit.
BABC, a young, inexperienced New England-based team, struggled to win games. Teams face-guarded Goodine, the Class of 2019 Syracuse basketball recruit. They sometimes committed two defenders to him. They tried to frustrate his every move.
That experience, said his high school coach, should prepare him for his final season at St. Andrew's. With Cole Swider gone to Villanova and with most of Goodine's 2017-18 teammates also departed for graduation, Goodine figures to attract that same kind of defensive attention.
