Syracuse, N.Y. — The Syracuse Orange will begin the 2016-17 season in the Top 25.
Syracuse was ranked No. 19 in the Associated Press' preseason poll, which was released on Monday. The Orange was ranked 17th in the USA Today coaches' preseason poll, which came out last week.
Syracuse is one of five ACC schools in the Top 25. Duke topped the poll at No. 1 with 58 out of 65 potential first-place votes. North Carolina was ranked No. 6 and Virginia was two spots back at No. 8.
