Rakeem Christmas is well known around the salt city for his contributions to the Syracuse basketball squad.
He helped the Orange reach a Final Four back in 2013 (team success) and finally found individual success as a senior. After being a role player through the first three years of his college career in his senior season he averaged 17.5 points per game and 9.1 boards per game.
Rakeem was able to turn that into a two-year NBA career and last played for the New Zealand Breakers overseas.
But now his legacy will extend beyond the basketball court.
