Syracuse, N.Y. - Plenty of things went wrong for Syracuse in its 68-62 loss to Old Dominion in the Carrier Dome Saturday afternoon.
But a disturbing trend continued to haunt the Orange in that loss.
Syracuse took 34 free throws in Saturday's game and made 22 of them. That's 64.7 percent. The Orange missed 12 opportunities to put free points in the board.
"Playing at home, you gotta make those shots," SU coach Jim Boeheim said. "You can't miss 12 free throws."
Before Saturday's game, Syracuse ranked 11th in the ACC in free throw shooting percentage.
