Carmelo Anthony is back in the NBA and the former Syracuse basketball star had a vintage night on Monday.
Melo had his best game since joining the Portland Trailblazers this season scoring 25 points on an efficient 10-for-20 from the field, securing eight boards, notching two assists, one steal, and finishing with his best +/- of the season +19 from the floor.
Although when the epitaph is written on Melo’s gravestone, he’ll forever be remembered as one of the greatest scorers of this generation. So far this season he’s been lights out from downtown, 9-for-23, which is a near 40 percent conversion rate which would nearly match his career-high from back in 2013-14 with the New York Knicks.
