Utica, N.Y. - The Tyler Ennis comparisons stick to Howard Washington.
His coaches at Athlete Institute, one of whom is Ennis's dad, detailed the correlations last winter. And now that he's in Syracuse, set to start his freshman basketball season with the Orange, Washington continues to hear his name and his game linked to the former Orange point guard.
Ennis, 22, was the 18th pick of the 2014 NBA Draft. Last month, he signed a one-year minimum contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
"Coach GMac and Coach Boeheim, that's the first thing they said," Washington said.
