Syracuse, N.Y. -- Frank Howard practiced with his teammates for the first time since injuring his ankle in mid-September.
Howard, the senior point guard, participated in pre-practice group drills with the Orange guards. He moved to spots and worked on shooting with his teammates. SU basketball spokesman Pete Moore said Howard had done those same type of movements with SU athletic trainer Brad Pike and with SU strength and conditioning coach Ryan Cabiles. Friday afternoon marked the first time since September that Howard had participated in the drills with his teammates.
He was likely to be limited to certain drills during Friday's practice and is unlikely to play Saturday, when the Orange faces Morehead State at 7 p.
